GamersFirst denies APB: Reloaded retail release reports

That's a lot of unintentional alliteration for a simple message. APB: Reloaded is not yet confirmed for retail release.

"We've been approached by retail partners to launch the title on retail shelves," GamersFirst confirmed with Gamespot.

"Although we are evaluating our options, we have not picked a potential partner as of now. GamersFirst is also committed to the Free2Play model and any retail strategy will be guided by those principles."

The representative seemed gratified by the attention of retailers, noting the game's "unprecedented growth" while in beta and saying it has "become very attractive to large institutions in the game distribution business".

Paul Lombardi, CEO of distributor IGS, claimed on Facebook that the game would see retail release, but has since redacted the post.

APB: Reloaded is the GamersFirst's remake of failed MMO All Points Bulletin, and is currently in open beta.

Thanks, Massively.
