GameMaker: Studio Standard licenses free until March 2, Pro licenses discounted

GameMaker: Studio Standard licenses are free for a limited time, developer YoYo Games has announced. You can register the entry-level version of the programming-free development kit and engine at no cost until March 2, which is pretty sweet, and if you like the tech, you can upgrade to a full Studio Professional license for just $35. GameMaker may not be as famous and powerful as other commonly-licensed engines like UDK, Unreal or CryEngine, but it boasts some pretty great releases - Spelunky, Nidhogg, Risk of Rain, Samurai Gunn and Stealth Bastard Deluxe, for example.

Thanks, Joystiq.
