GameFace VR headset offers Android alternative to Oculus Rift

GameFace Labs announced its own alternative to the Oculus Rift headset line, which will offer Android users a chance to get involved in the VR fun.

The company showcased its hardware at CES 2014 in Las Vegas last week, but Engadget produced a report on the device last night.

Dubbed the 'GameFace Mark 4,' the VR headset on show was a 3D-printed proof of concept model without a final product name. It was said to have worked wonderfully with Madfinger's Dead Trigger and a paired DualShock 3 controller, displayed on an internal 1,920 x 1,080 LED screen, sitting at 5.2 inches.

GameFace Labs is looking at creating its own Android store, specifically tailored to VR-enabled titles.
