Gaikai executive jumps ship for Oculus Rift

Former Gaikai chief product officer Brendan Iribe has joined the company behind virtual reality headset Oculus Rift, Develop reports. Oculus Rift has attracted over $1.6 million in funding with over two weeks remaining on its Kickstarter, which requested just $250,000. The headset tech was demonstrated at E3 2012 by John Carmack, and has been praised by senior Valve staff and Minecraft creator Markus "Notch" Persson, too.
