Fullmetal Alchemist fans should check out Arslan: Warriors of Legend

Anime and manga fans not already onboard Arslan: Warriors of Legend might want to take a look.

Arslan: Warriors of Legend is Omega Force's adaptation of Fullmetal Alchemist creator Hiromu Arakawa's 2013 manga, which was further popularised by a 2015 anime series.

The manga itself is just the latest adaptation of a longrunning light novel series, and that in turn is based on the Persian epic Amir Arsalan.

It's adaptations all the way down, then. The point is: the game very closely follows the anime but adds additional scenes co-written with Arakawa, so if you're keen on Arslan it's kind of essential. If you're not keen on Arslan, it's a gateway to the anime and manga. Check out the launch trailer:

Arslan: Warriors of Legend is available now on PC, PlayStation 3, PS4 and Xbox One. You'll find physical copies in-store for PS4 and Xbox One.
