Foundation 9 Entertainment has said it's generated $22 million in sales from its top five Xbox Live Arcade games.

According to the firm's "internal sales statistics and royalty sheets", Foundation 9 claimed its titles made up 15 percent of those available on XBL, meaning it has ties to 45 out of the 300 available.

"No other developer can claim more titles on the platform," said Foundation 9 CEO James North-Hearn. "Foundation 9 Entertainment is the game industry’s secret weapon.

"While most consumers don’t know our name, the biggest and best-loved game publishers around the world turn to Foundation 9 Entertainment to build games for all genres and platforms."

Studios owned by the firm include Backbone Entertainment, Double Helix, Griptonite, ImaginEngine, Pipeworks and Sumo Digital.

Backbone is its main studio, with XBLA releases including Bomberman Live, Marvel vs. Capcom 2, Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, and others.
