Over 2 million people have played Forza Horizon 4 since release last week

Since its release last week on October 2, Forza Horizon 4 has been played by 2 million people.

Microsoft announced today Forza Horizon 4, the latest entry in the series from Playground Games, has been played by 2 million people since release.

The firm also said over 4.6 million hours of gameplay have been watched across Mixer, Twitch, YouTube and Facebook.

Other stats: 822.7 million miles have been driven in-game; players have acquired over 4.1 million properties and own over 74.4 million cars; and more than 377.7 million roads have been discovered.

Critics seem to have enjoyed the game as well, considering the review scores. We even called it Xbox’s best 2018 exclusive in our review, and Sherif said it is not only a great game, but "the perfect sequel>

Forza Horizon 4 was released on October 2 digitally and at retail, and through Xbox Game Pass. Since release it has become the fastest-selling Horizon entry in the UK.

Players of the racer can look forward to the upcoming Route Creator, which releases on October 25.
