Fortnite Season X map changes: Dusty Depot is back and new rift zones will alter the map

Season X is finally here, so let's take a look at all the map changes in Fortnite.

The orb at Loot Lake has exploded and an old favourite, Dusty Depot, is back on the map.

The meteor that destroyed the map is back as a new POI, and rift zones have been introduced that will alter various POIS when you enter them.

There will be new places to explore and secrets to find in Season X as the Battle Royale map gets its biggest shake-up to date.

It was also confirmed that the map you play today may not be the map you play tomorrow, suggesting that we'll be seeing new named locations as well as the reappearance of older areas as the season progresses.

There's also a chance we'll see revamped versions of vaulted weapons and beloved old skins becoming available throughout the new season.

The Season X Battle Pass is now available for £7.99 or 950 V-Bucks. The Fornite Season X Week 1 Challenges will soon be live, so check back for more later.

Servers are currently down and will be for the next few hours, but it won't be long before you can jump in and try out the new Brute mechs.
