Former Halo and Destiny writer Joe Staten is the lead writer on ReCore

Joseph Staten, who was once the lead on Bungie's Destiny, is now the writing lead for the PC and Xbox One exclusive ReCore.

ReCore, the mysterious Comcept and Armature-developed Microsoft exclusive, has secured the writing talents of long-time Halo writer Joseph Staten. ReCore was announced at E3 last year, and we know virtually nothing about it.

In a recent interview with The New York Times, Staten confirmed that he's working as lead writer on the title, set in a desert world called Far Eden.

Staten also revealed a few hints about the story, which follows protagonist Joule, who believes she is the last human left and with the help of robots goes on a quest to "revive" the human race.

Staten worked for Bungie as a lead writer on Halo, Halo 2, Halo 3, ODST, and Destiny, before leaving in September 2013. Staten later joined Microsoft to work on multiple projects.

ReCore is coming to PC and Xbox One sometime in 2016.
