First wave of Dota 2: The International 2012 tickets go on sale this Tuesday

The first batch of tickets for The International 2012 will go on sale this Tuesday, with additional batches released every day this week until Saturday June 16.

The first batch of tickets for The International, the annual Dota 2 world championship tournament, will be released Tuesday at 7:00 PM GMT. Additional batches will be released each following day this week at the same time until Saturday.

Available through the Dota 2 store at a cost of $49.99, the ticket grants the holder access to the full three days of the competition. Valve anticipates the tickets will sell out fast.

Interestingly, the ticket will be stored in purchasers' Dota 2 inventories and, as such, can be traded like any other item. It is only once the item is consumed that the user's account will be flagged as attending.

Limited additional seating will be available to PAX Prime ticket-holders on a first come, first served basis.
