First gameplay footage of Final Fantasy Type-0 hits

A Dissidia Duodecim Final Fantasy Battle Tournament event was held in Japan earlier today by Square, during which the firm showed a demo of Final Fantasy Type-0.

The event was broadcast on Nico Nico Video, but in order to see the gameplay footage, you will have to set up an account with the site. Or, you can watch it below thanks to YouTube user descreto.

Andriasang, which has stills of the demo posted, said that in the video, producer Hajime Tabata fired up the demo which showed the following five pre-arranged slots:

  • The basics of the game
  • A fight against a powerful enemy
  • A look at multiplayer
  • A look at some of the challenging missions that require multiplayer (these aren't needed to clear the game)
  • A look at the air ship that you can control yourself
  • He then goes through each slot in succession.

Each slot was gone through in succession.

Watch it for yourself below, along with a couple
ScrawlFX pulled.

Type-0 is out on PSP in Japan this summer. A western release is yet to be confirmed by Square Enix, but E3 may remedy that bit.
