First DiRT 3 dev diary reveals 32 stages, snow and ice, co-driver gender-picking

dirt3

Codemasters has released the first dev diary for DiRT 3, dropping some massive details on the rally racer.

To begin with, the game will feature six head-to-head stages and 32 rally stages. Finland, Kenya, Norway and Michigan are all added as new locations.

Snow and ice surfaces are also included for the first time alongside dirt and gravel, grass and rocks.

The 2011 WRC Ford Fiesta, 2010 WRC Ford Focus and Citreon C4 are all included. You'll also be able to pick the gender of your co-driver.

About 60 percent of the DiRT 3 experience will be based on rally, according to senior game designer Chris Coleman.

The game's out in 2011.
