First day Medal of Honor US sales are "great," says EA

EA's said today that day one US sales of Medal of Honor are "great", despite a lack of figures.

The shooter, which launched in the US on Tuesday and releases in the UK tomorrow, didn't have any exact sales figures in the press release EA sent out, but it did say the game was "well in position for an outstanding holiday."

"We anticipate Medal of Honor to be one of the biggest video game titles launched this year," said SVP of Merchandising at GameStop, Bob McKenzie.

"This underscores how video gaming has emerged as mainstream entertainment."

Review scores for the game, co-developed by DICE and Dangr Close, have been mixed, with EA shares taking a hit because of them
