Final Fantasy 7 Remake: What to Do With the Moogle Mortar?

You will come across an item called a Moogle Mortar while perusing one of the shops in Final Fantasy 7 Remake. Here's what to do with it.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake is a JRPG through and through. This means wacky character designs, excellent music, and a near endless amount of mysterious items on offer. One such item, the Moogle Mortar, can be purchased part-way through the game, though at first you won't know what to do with it. We'll explain what to do with the Moogle Mortar in this guide.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake: What Is a Moogle Mortar, and Should You Buy It?

If you head to the Moogle Shop in the Sector 5 Slums after you're given the last set of side missions, you will see an item called a Moogle Mortar being sold. The Moogle Mortar is a quest item that has no use other than in the Secret Medicine sidequest. You should buy it if you plan on completing all of the side content, but not if you plan to give some of them a miss.

Where to Get a Moogle Mortar

If you actually arrived at the Secret Medicine quest giver before the Moogle Shop, you will be tasked with picking up a Moogle Mortar. All you need to do is head to the vendor shown in the image below, who will sell you a Moogle Mortar in exchange for Medals. While you're in Sector 5, why not hunt down these Music Discs?
