Final Fantasy 15 goes a bit Metal Gear in this footage from the Episode Prompto DLC

Metal Gear Solid: The Prompto Pain, anyone?

This footage from the upcoming Final Fantasy 15 DLC shows Prompto sneaking through a facility, pulling off stealth takedowns and shooting a bunch of guards with what looks like fairly standard third person shooter controls.

It looks like Prompto has been captured here, and is trying to find a way out of the facility he is being held in. There are different guns he can pick up from the guards he kills, and numerous challenges pop up on the screen as he moves through the level.

The DLC, which launches on June 27 alongside the ability to take the Regalia off-road, is included in the game's expansion pass. It will cost $4.99 without it.

It doesn't look like the strongest shooter, but it has that Final Fantasy flair to it, and the footage ends with Prompto picking up a rocket launcher, which are hard not to have fun with. Hopefully it will be better received than the Gladiolus DLC, which was criticised for being too short.

There's also a PlayStation VR exclusive fishing mode coming to Final Fantasy 15, if you're after something completely different.

Final Fantasy 15 is available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
