FIFA 13 to "capture the drama of real-world football"

EA's fully lifted the veil off FIFA 13, promising this year's iteration will bring the drama of real-life football into the game.

FIFA 13 will feature Complete Dribbling, allowing players to face their opponent and use dribble with full 360 mobility control. 1st Touch Control will, according to EA, get rid of "near-perfect touch for every player on the pitch, and creating variety and uncertainty around ball control.

Both dribbling and 1st Touch have been inspired by Barcelona forward Lionel Messi.

Other new features include a new attacking intelligence, improved career mode and new features for online and EA Sports Football Club.

Other various new modes will be detailed in the next few months.

"We are perfecting the best sports game in the world with innovations that capture all the drama and unpredictability of real-world football," said David Rutter, Executive Producer for FIFA 13.

"These are game-changing innovations that will revolutionise our artificial intelligence, dribbling, ball control and collisions to create a true battle for possession across the entire pitch, and deliver freedom and creativity in attack."

FIFA 13 will launch this autumn for PS3, 360, Wii, PC, Vita, 3DS, PSP, PS2, iOS and more, with Move and Kinect support added for PS3 and 360 versions.

A Wii U version is also in the works according to EG, but no more details were given.
