Fathom Kickstarter is a world of 'undersea neo-gothic steampunk adventure'

Fathom is the latest Kickstarter campaign to launch, courtesy of developer Ironsun Studios. It's a 2.5D neo-gothic steampunk adventure game for PC that's set underwater.

The Kickstarter campaign needs £120,000 to become a reality, with 29 days on the clock. UK team Ironsun has revealed that players will uncover the truth behind the lost city of Atlantis as Victorian adventurer Nathanial Lockhart.

It's an action game with plenty of puzzles, that sees the selfishly hedonistic Lockhart caught up in a cataclysm in the Bermuda Triangle. The encounter leaves him plagued by visions and becomes consumed by the need to create an underwater vessel. He makes it and journeys under the sea to combat his demons.

Puzzles aside, Nathanial's bathysphere will fight mechanical enemies with its chainguns and much more. The art style is rather lovely too. Check it out and tell us what you think below.
