Fassbender gets beaten and hooked up to the Animus in new Assassin's Creed movie trailer

It takes brute force to make someone recall their ancestor from 500 years back, apparently.

As promised yesterday, the new trailer for the Assassin's Creed movie has arrived.

In it, Callum Lynch played by Michael Fassbender, comes to the realization that the only way to "get a second chance" is to revisit the Spanish Inquisition as his ancestor. You also get a look at his fellow assassin's, all are being held against their will by Abstergo Industries.

He seems to start enjoying his time spent in the Animus by the end of the video though, probably because he gets to relive all the leaping, stabbing and diving off buildings. But, no one likes being held prisoner and it appears there's a revolt happening by the end.

Going by the trailer, it seems the 140 minute film isn't arriving in theaters on December 21 as planned. The video shows a date of January 1, 2017. Maybe that's the UK date. We're checking because the official website still says December.
