Fallout: New Vegas PC patch released in preparation for Honest Hearts DLC

If it's been a while since you fired up Fallout: New Vegas on Steam, you should log on today because the game has revived a rather large patch.

Along with quite a few balance changes for weapons, various stability improvements were added to reduce crashing and freezing.

Changes of note include SMGs, the Assault Carbine, and the LMG being more "accurate across the board," as well as durable; dynamite now has a larger explosion radius; the Tesla Cannon and Tesla-Beaton Prototype now consume far less ammo per shot and can be fired "several times," before being reloaded.

A couple perk changes also go into effect with the patch: Splash Damage now functions properly; and The Professional has been added to the perk list.

Bethesda announced the patch would be coming a couple weeks ago, and that it had delayed the Honest Hearts DLC until this particular patch could be released.

The patch for PC is the first out of the gate, with PS3 and Xbox 360 patches expected to follow shortly.

You can get the full patch notes over on Steam.

Thanks, BigDownload.
