Fallout 4: Best Left Forgotten - DiMA’s Memory #5

Easy way to complete DiMA’s Memory #5.

This guide will show players how to complete DiMA’s Memory #5, also known as Memory 0Y-8K7D. This is part of the Best Left Forgotten quest included with the Fallout 4: Far Harbor DLC.

If not for the last one, the puzzles you have to solve to retrieve DiMA’s memories wouldn’t be that bad. The first four are rather simple, which is why we’re not going to focus on those today. You should be able to blast through in about 10 minutes.

After you begin DiMA’s Memory #5, however, it’s not unheard of for players to get stuck for the better part of an hour. Building bridges and trying to line up the beam to blast through the firewall can be frustrating. Luckily, there is a much easier way to complete this, and it won’t take you more than five minutes, four of which you can us to wander off to grab a drink.

When you spawn into DiMA’s Memory #5, grab up a few of the Code Blocks so that you can build a bridge toward the memory. Do so, and then start placing your Defense Constructs (all five is fine) within one or two tiles of the firewall. Eventually, these Defense Constructs will start to engage the drones that are nearby, and the drones will begin to fire back.

Besides completing the bridge to DiMA’s Memory #5 when the firewall goes down, you’re all done. You just have to wait for your Defense Constructs to inadvertently shoot the laser receptor while trying to take down the drones. This can take a minute, or it could take five, but it will happen eventually. Not only that, but it will happen much faster than you can run around the map and line up all the Code Blocks to complete DiMA’s Memory #5 the correct way.

Just to be clear. You should absolutely try and complete DiMA’s Memory #5 the right way if you’ve never done it. It’s part of the experience. However, if you’re on your second Far Harbor play through, and the idea of finishing this memory is sucking out all your motivation, this is a pretty good trick to get the job done in a big hurry.

We’re not sure what you plan to do with the Children of Atom as the story progresses, but be sure to stop at the Nucleus to grab the Recon Marine Armor and Atom’s Judgement once you’re done with DiMA’s Memory #5.
