Fable Heroes is rumour no more - first screens, video

Following leaks over the weekend, Microsoft's officially made Fable Heroes a real thing, announcing it at the Xbox Spring Showcase in San Francisco last week.

The game will be an action hack-and-slash effort with a "unique" art style not seen in past Fable games. It will be entirely co-op themed.

Co-op will allow up to four players to get together through local play or Xbox Live, with players working to together to defeat enemies, but also competing to collect gold coins in the process. Coins collected will help level up your character and unlock rewards for Fable: The Journey.

Heroes, made by a team at Lionhead who've been "fans of the franchise from day one," will contain heroes, regions and enemies that fans of the series will recognise.

As you progress through the game and level up, your character will unlock more difficulty levels and mini-games.
