Fable Anniversary rated R18+ in Australia due to Lost Chapters' brothel

Fable Anniversary has received a higher classification than the original game due to some controversial additional content.

The Australian Classification Board awarded Fable Anniversary an R18+ rating for "sexual activity related to incentives and rewards".

As the original Fable did not contain such content, and received an M rating back in 2004, PlayerAttack obtained the Board's report to identify a troublesome addition: the Darkwood Bordello, added into the game with The Lost Chapters.

Within the bordello, there are two options which exceed guidelines for mA15+ rated content. The first is that male characters receive an in-game reward for soliciting the services of a number of prostitutes. The second is that characters can don a specific costume and "participate in the intimate act of love" with a specific NPC in exchange for in-game gold.

Fable Anniversary is due on Xbox 360 in early 2014.
