F1 2010 developer diary gets extended cut with Anthony Davidson

Codemasters has released an extended edit of its fourth developer diary video for F1 2010, and we've got it below the break for you.

In it, you will find two minutes of additional content over the original, complete with unseen game footage plus additional commentary.

The video also goes behind the scenes at Codemasters Birmingham, and shows how all of the cars and circuits were recreated in the game, with former Formula One driver Anthony Davidson, who worked as a tech consultant on the title, providing video feedback.

"Driving the real world circuits enables me to give that impression to the guys creating the game," said Davidson. "There's all these details that only a driver would know about. For instance, turn eight in Spa; I know straight away any car I have ever driven there always understeers and it's knowing that kind of detail as a driver that you can get over into the game. The circuits feel really spot on."

It's rather interesting stuff, and looks cool. Too bad there won't be a demo for it.

F1 2010's out in September for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
