Exploring outside The Division's beta zone - video

The Division beta restricted players to a small slice of the Manhattan map available in the full game, but it wasn't that hard to get out of there.

During The Division beta YouTuber chowdapowa9 figured out how to explore beyond the boundaries of the test.

It was slow and frustrating work, because a 10 second time activated whenever the beta client detected a player had gone out of bounds. If they didn't get back inside the zone, they'd end up back in the test zone - but if you restart the game client, it respawns you where you were standing, with a fresh timer.

It's a lot of effort for 10 second slices of exploration, but the hard work has been done for you; you have only to watch the fruits of another's labour in the video below.

"It got a little tedious so I quit after about 30 mins," the apparently very patient chowdapowa9 said. "There appears to be an underground containment zone underneath that massive construction zone that was in the non-beta zone next to the Dark Zone Checkpoint."
