Evolve will be playable to the public for the first time at Gadget Show Live

Evolve publisher 2K Games has confirmed it is bringing Turtle Rock's next-gen shooter to this year's Gadget Show Live in Birmingham. The game will be playable to the public between April 9-13.

It follows my massive Evolve interview with Turtle Rock, during which we discussed the game's origins during Left 4 Dead's development, and why the game can only be achieved on PC and new formats.

Now, in a press release sent to VG247 today, 2K's UK marketing manager Simon Turner said, "We are really excited that UK fans can finally play our first new IP for next-gen systems and experience the unique 4v1 gameplay for themselves at the Gadget Show Live."

The gameplay in question will take place on Shear, and sees four hunters trying to take down a human-controlled alien beast. It's the same section Stace described in detail during his Evolve preview.

We'll have more on Evolve as it comes, and you can buy Gadget Show Live tickets here.
