EverQuest II expansion Destiny of Velious to see a slight release delay

eq2

SOE has announced over on its official forums that it has delayed the release of the Everquest II expansion Destiny of Velious.

Revealed back in May 2010, and announced in August, the expansion pack was originally set to be released on February 8t and instead will release a few weeks later on February 22.

The reason for the slight delay is due to player feedback received during the beta. More players will be added to the beta around the end of January.

"Feb 22nd gives us another couple of weeks for polish, tuning, and a honing of the fun factor for the expansion," wrote the game's senior producer, Dave Georgeson. "We think the wait will be well worthwhile.

"On a side note, we’ll be adding another batch of players into the Closed Beta on Jan 24th, so if you put in an application and haven’t been accepted yet, don’t give up yet. Your time may be coming."

Thanks, MMORPG.
