EVE Online controversy gets resolution

EVE Online developer CCP was in hot water with its own player base over micro-transactions recently, but has found a resolution after a meeting with user representatives.

After a meeting with EVE's elected representatives in Iceland (CCP's headquarters,) called the Council of Stellar Management, the two sides have seemingly found common ground and come to an agreement.

During the meetings, CCP was very apologetic and was able to convince they players that they had no intention of implementing "pay to win" features like the so-called "golden ammo".

They declared that the players would never be able to buy an advantage with money instead of time.

For now the crisis seems quelled as the Council of Stellar Management is returning home after having brokered a deal that the EVE Online player base is satisfied with.

Microtransactions in the form of vanity items will continue to be a part of the game.

The so-called "monacle-gate" seems to be over for the moment.
