Europe's PS Plus update gives free Fallout 3 DLC, KZ3 beta update

killzone3

Sony has updated the European end of PlayStation Plus with some nifty Fallout 3 DLC for free and some news on the Killzone 3 beta and a Split/Second: Velocity demo.

According to the EU PS Blog, the Killzone 3 theme which grants access to the beta will go out to the first 10K  SCEE Plus subscribers who download it. It will go live in the EU PlayStation Store at 8pm in the UK, 9pm CET and 6am in Sydney, Australia on October 13.

Sony has added the following disclaimer regarding the beta:

We would like to point out that, at this very early stage in the game’s development, the Killzone 3 beta will only support the English language. Let us assure you that the final game will be fully localised and there will be opportunities for non-English speakers to experience it in their mother tongue as we get closer to release. Fortunately, the headshot is an international language.

As far as the Fallout 3 DLC is concerned, each will be free for PS Plus subs on the PlayStation Store for one week only, from the following dates:

October 13

  • Fallout 3: Point Lookout
  • Fallout 3: Mothership Zeta
  • Fallout 3: Operation: Anchorage

October 20

  • Fallout 3: Broken Steel
  • Fallout 3: The Pitt

There will also be an exclusive multiplayer demo of Split/Second: Velocity for Plus members, through automatic download.
