Euro PS Store and Plus Update, Sept. 7 - Resistance 3 pass, Persona 3, Revelations beta

Sony has updated the European end of the PS Store, added some goodies for Plus members, the Assassin's Creed: Revelations multiplayer beta, the Resistance 3 Network Pass, and an updated the batch of discounts pertaining to the PSP Power Sale. The update this week is rather larger, so let's get you informed as quickly as possible.

PLAY, Plus, PSP Power Sale

First off, some news regarding the PLAY promotion: the third title, Bloodrayne: Betrayal, launches today and is available in all locales except for New Zealand. Majesco are finalising the OFLC rating, so it will land in the region next week. Those in Italy can now also partake in the PLAY promotion, which includes the aforementioned title as well as Street Fighter III: Third Strike, and The Baconing. Remember: when you purchase all four PLAY titles, you get PAYDAY: The Heist free when it is released.

Second, the PSP Power Sale has loads of titles on sale as well as some minis. More than likely you already know about the launch offer for Persona 3: Portable, but there's more good news: Disney has added Lego Pirates of the Caribbean in the sale too. Nice of them, wasn't it? Other games on sale include: Crazy Taxi: Fare Wars, Dead or Alive: Paradise, Dynasty Warriors, Harvest Moon: Hero of Leaf Valley, Indiana Jones & The Staff of Kings,Midnight Club Bundle, MX vs. ATV Untamed, Phantasy Star Portable 2, Prinny 2, Ridge Racer, SEGA Mega Drive Collection, SoulCalibur: Broken Destiny, Star Wars: Battlefront Elite Squadron, Star Wars: Battlefront II, Tom Clancy’s EndWar, Warhammer 40k Squad Command and tons more.

Moving on to Plus content, Plants vs Zombies is free, there's the Ratchet and Clank: All 4 One open beta, minis Kaleidoscope and Jellypop are also free, so is Resident Evil: Director’s Cut and Street Fighter Alpha 2 (Psone).

Bloodrayne: Betrayal is 20 percent off, Explodemon! is 50 percent off and Capcom has put all Resident Evil: Operation Racoon City Avatars up for free. Exclusive dynamic themes for Plus members this week are: Resident Evil: Operation Racoon City and Assassin’s Creed: Revelations.

Additional offers for Plus throughout September will include launch day discounts on Resident Evil 4,Resident Evil: Code Veronica and From Dust, so be on the lookout for those later on in the month.

Now, with all of that out of the way, let's get you updated on the store.

PS Store update

This week, you can get your hands on a trial and unlock for Bloodrayne: Betrayal, Red Johnson’s Chronicles, and SkyDrift.

PSP games for download are Persona 3 Portable and Cladun X2 and minis include The Impossible Game, Athena, Guerilla War and plenty more. The one, lone PSone title for the week is Tomb Raider II Starring Lara Croft.

A demo for the God of War Collection: Volume II is available, so is the Assassin’s Creed: Revelations multiplayer beta mentioned at the beginning of the post. It will be available until September 11. There is also a demo for PES 2012.

Add-on content this week includes a Battlefield Bad Company 2 – Add-on Bundle which contains the Onslaught Expansion Pack, the Vietnam Expansion Pack, and lots of stuff pertaining to kits.
