Euro morning news bulletin – March 7, 2011

Did the world end with GDC last week? It did not. Here's everything you need to know this morning.

  • 3DS's launch week details have been confirmed. The Nintendo handheld is now the second biggest selling console in Japan this year, with seven days' worth of figures logged.
  • Killzone 3 really did max out PS3's SPUs. It says so here.
  • A US court has granted Sony permission to gain access to the IP addresses of everyone that downloaded Geohot's PS3 jailbreak files in California.
  • UK retailer GAME's now taking pre-orders for some used games. Yep, that means you can pre-buy a secondhand game that doesn't even exist yet. Welcome to the future.

Here's the audio. Get to it.

After garnering experience on countless gaming magazines, he joined Eurogamer and later split from that brand to create VG247, putting the site on the map with fast, 24-hour a day coverage, and assembling the site's earliest editorial teams. He retired from VG247, and the games industry, in 2017.
