Epic hopeful of Unreal 4 public showing later this year

Epic hopes next-gen tech Unreal Engine 4 will get a public airing this year, it has said at a GDC press conference

But, as reported by CVG, the choice to have it shown behind closed doors at the show to developers "wasn't our decision".

The company announced it would show the engine last week to interested parties on the condition it had to sign an Non Disclosure Agreement before it could see it.

Speaking to the site, Epic VP Mark Rein added it could continue to push new hardware.

"There's no end in sight for what we can do with unlimited technology," he said. "So we're always going to be pushing and I'm sure we'll be pushing for more than is possible to give."
