Epic Games buys Gears of War: Judgment dev People Can Fly

Gears of War: Judgment developer People Can Fly has just been bought by Epic Games, further to this morning's announcement that the studio has lost some key staff.

Epic's acquisition of the Polish developer - which was also responsible for 2011 shooter Bulletstorm - was reportedly the catalyst for three key staff members quitting the studio.

The studio's top brass Adrian Chmielarz was among those who left, taking to Twitter to reassure fans that Gears of Judgment won't be affected by the departures, “Gears fans, you’re going to love Judgment. It’s in great hands. And don’t worry, you’ll hear about my plans soon enough."

Speaking with Polygon, Epic's Mark Rein stated, "We doubled down on People Can Fly. It was something we always hoped to do."
