EA stays quiet over Gray's FIFA future

EA has told IGN that it's remaining mum over keeping sacked Sky Sports pundit Andy Gray as its colour commentator for FIFA 12.

Gray was sacked following recent comments of sexism by the former Scottish international, which first came to light in an off-the-air comment featuring his Sky Sports colleague Richard Keys. Keys resigned as main presenter of the channel's football line-up last night.

Two more videos then appeared online showing more sexism remarks, which led to Gray getting the boot.

But EA Sports said in a statement it would make announcements on its announcing team for FIFA 12 later this year.

"EA Sports has not made any announcements about our in-game commentators for FIFA for 2011," a rep told the site.

"Those announcements will be made later this year."

Gray has been part of the FIFA co-commentary team since FIFA 06, and had been working with his Sky Sports co-commentator Martin Tyler since FIFA 07.
