EA publishing deal with Rock Band lasting through March

EA's confirmed its present deal with Viacom on all things Rock Band from MTV Games and Harmonix is only good for another month.

Speaking in the company's Q3 FY10 financial call, firm execs said the deal only lasts until the end of March, when the deal expires.

This might be the reason you haven't formally heard Rock Band 3 yet. At least not until a new deal is in place.
