EA bringing multiple titles to Switch between now and the end of March 2021

EA has not turned its back on Nintendo Switch after all.

As part of its earnings call for Q4 2020 and the full 2020 fiscal year, EA shared a general outlook on its plans for FY2021, which began in April and ends in March 2021.

The publisher confirmed that it's going to support the Nintendo Switch with "multiple" games during FY2021. This all begins with Burnout Paradise Remastered, which is due on Switch this summer. Over the same period, we can also expect multi-platform releases of four sports titles in FIFA 21, Madden 21, NHL 21 and a fourth unannounced sports title - likely a basketball game.

All of this year's sports game will also appear on PS5 and Xbox Series X, and EA promised to reveal more about how they're going to make use of each console's advanced hardware in the coming months.

FY2021 will, of course, see the release of Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond, the Respawn-developed VR Oculus exclusive. Beyond sports and VR, there's just a single new first-party EA game coming between now and the end of March next year.

EA didn't hint at what it could be, but it's possible it has something to do with the leaked Star Wars: Project Maverick, which is EA Motive's reportedly experimental game.

For partner games, EA said we'll see four new projects this year. EA partner games are the small, indie studio-developed titles like Unravel, A Way Out etc. On mobile, two new games will soft-launch during the fiscal year.

That's about it for EA's slate in FY2021, a light year for the company. To offset, EA will focus on live services of its various games, including EA Sports titles as well as obviously Apex Legends.
