EA games returning to Steam: "Never say never," says Intat

EA's European boss Jens Uwe Intat has said digital versions of the firm's game will not be exclusive to Origin.

Intat also reiterated that the firm believes "competition is a good thing," along with consumer choice.

"Competition and choice go hand in hand," he told Eurogamer. "So the fact we will only distribute our own games on our own platform, I don't see that."

Intat also said it wants to eventually make rival publisher's games available on the service.

"We are discussing with other publishers to distribute their games,"he said. "[Other publishers' games] may very well be [sold on Origin]. But the key is really to develop and impressive consumer experience where people are happy to play and buy games."

As for whether or not EA's pulled titles from Steam will return to the service, Intat said "never say never," on the matter.
