EA: FIFA 11 release date "in the coming weeks"

EA Sports has said the release date for FIFA 11 will be confirmed "in the coming weeks."

A company rep dismissed a September 24 release date for the game, but confirmed the forthcoming announce.

"It's pure speculation," EA told CVG on the September 24 date, "and we'll be confirming the release date in the coming weeks."

Can anyone say "announcement at gamescom?" That's what we're thinking.

Stay tuned, then.

The game's out on PS3, 360, Wii, DS, PSP, PS2 and PC this fall.
