EA appoints New York Times Company executive to board of directors

Denise F. Warren, executive vice president of the Digital Products and Services Group at The New York Times Company, is the first woman to br appointed to EA's board of directors and audit board, the firm has announced.

Warren's experience managing digital content is seen by both sides as a good fit for the publisher's plans to push further into digital distribution and emerging platforms.

In the same press release, EA noted that ten year board veteran Gregory Maffei will not stand for re-election this year, focusing on commitments elsewhere.

EA's management is in a state of flux at the moment; the publisher is yet to appoint a new CEO following the resignation of John Riccitiello earlier this year.
