E3 2012: Zynga exhibiting, NCSoft, Atari decline

The growing list of E3 2012 exhibitors has turned up an interesting first time visitor.

As noted by Neowin, social and casual giant Zynga will attend E3 2012, its first appearance at one of the big trade events.

Despite the expected 2012 release of Guild Wars 2, NCSoft won't be attending. The publisher said it prefers to take the anticipated MMORPG to events "that allow us to share our games directly with gamers".

Atari, which is in the midst of a full transition to casual, mobile and social gaming rather than core retail publishing, has also chosen not to attend.

Several other companies which aren't listed yet may appear at a later date, like Blizzard and Nexon. Meanwhile, CCP is skipping its own booth this year in favour of a joint effort with Sony to push PlayStation 3 exclusive DUST 514.
