Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires seems to have a pretty good edit mode

Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires will once more allow players to create and customise a character to pit against ancient Chinese forces.

The huge stack of Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires screens below show off the character editor, as well as various battlefields and scenarios.

According to an accompanying press release, this year's edit mode contains multiple improvements. You'll be able to edit allied soldiers, warhorses, banners and more, forming a unique player created unit. You can also edit the maps used in the scenarios, making entirely new scenarios.

In custom scenarios, you can set officers for each kingdom as well as being able to move rulers about, so you can finally find out what would have happened had Cao Cao recruited Guan Yu or Zhuge Liang joined Wu. You'll also make your own title and introduction.

Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires arrives on PlayStation 3, PS4 and Xbox One at the end of the month.
