Dragon's Crown Europe, ANZ release date set for October

NIS America and Namco Bandai have locked in a release date for VanillaWare's latest, Dragon's Crown, in PAL territories.

The PlayStation 3 and Vita RPG will arrive in Australia and New Zealand on October 10, while the European launch follows on October 11.

In Europe, select retailers are offering an artbook with all pre-orders.

The VanillaWare hack-and-slasher arrived in North America through Atlus in the first week of August, and drew generally favourable reviews with a few outliers.

The main selling point of the side-scroller is VanillaWare's famously hand-crafted art style; it's previous games, Muramasa and Odin Sphere, were highly rated. Dragon's Crown is the developer's most expensive project to date, and is selling fairly well in Japan at the very least.

Dragon's Crown does not have cross-buy but is available both at retail and via the PlayStation Store for PS3 and Vita.
