Dragon Quest Monsters 2 still tops on Media Create, Wii U sales up slightly

Dragon Quest Monsters 2: Iru and Luca’s Wonderful Mysterious Keys was once again the top seller on the Media Create charts in Japan, moving 118,427 units. The two week total for the 3DS title from Square Enix now stands at 562,083 units. The game bested the biggest debut of the week, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, which managed to move 35,717 units, came out 8,708 units ahead of third place entry A-Ressha de Ikou 3D from Art Drink.

Hardware was once again down other than a few entries.

Wii U showed growth thanks to the new Donkey Kong entry, and it was slight: Wii U moved 8,782 units compared to 7,180 the prior week.

3DS moved an additional 64 units over last week and PlayStation Vita moved an additional 130 units week-over-week. Xbox 360 sales 62 units over last week.

Even with 3DS LL maintaining the top position on the chart, it moved 8,656 units less than the prior week.
