Dragon Quest Builders 2 Water - How to Get Unlimited Water in Dragon Quest Builders 2

Here's how to unlock the Bottomless Pot in Dragon Quest Builders 2, so you've got an unlimited supply of water.

When you first land on the shores of Furrowfield in Dragon Quest Builders 2 and start up your first town, you've got a very limited source of water. In our Dragon Quest Builders 2 water guide, we'll be walking you through where to get water in Dragon Quest Builders 2, so you've got a supply of water on hand for whenever you need it.

During the tutorial section in Furrowfield in Dragon Quest Builders 2, you'll be prompted to build a small barrier around a water source from a hill. Doing this stops the water in a small pond, meaning your villagers can go and collect the water whenever they want, to water any available crops.

But what about if you want to place a second source of water elsewhere in the town? For that, you're going to need a special item called the Bottomless Pot, that can only be obtained through progressing the main storyline of Dragon Quest Builders 2. Or, more specifically, it needs to be obtained through fulfilling everything that Pastor Al asks of you.

In order to obtain the Bottomless Pot, you need to head into the bogs to the south of the island, in accordance with when Rosie and Pastor Al send you that way with your new dog. When you get into the bog, head to the very southern end of the area to find a Navi-Globe, and a nearby building.

It's just outside this building that you can find Pastor Al's friend. He'll ask you for 50 grains of wheat. Return to him with the grains of wheat from your town in Furrowfield, and he'll reward you with the Bottomless Pot item.

Using the Bottomless Pot is really simple. You can approach any source of water, no matter how unclean and dirty it is, and tap the right trigger while you're stood in the water. This will cause your hero to scoop up water into the Bottomless Pot, and since from the item's very name it's an endless supply of water, you can reuse it for water repeatedly after you've scooped up water once.

To pour out water after you've scooped it up with the Bottomless Pot, simply approach the target area and tap the right trigger again. You can now return to your town, craft a small pond area using building blocks, and pour water from the Bottomless Pot into the pond. This will give you village a secondary source of water, meaning your townsfolk can effectively work twice as fast when watering crops.
