Dragon Quest Builders 2 comes to Nintendo Switch and PS4 on July 12

Block out the date in your diary - Dragon Quest Builders 2 is coming to Switch this summer.

The game already launched in Japan late last year, but at least we now know we don’t have a long wait.

Dragon Quest Builders 2 takes place in an alternate Dragon Quests timeline where the bad guys won. It’s up to you, a builder, to restore the world to its former glory.

Rather than the turn-based battles of the mainline series, Builders is all real-time and has a focus on Minecraft-style creativity with an RPG-style base building twist.

This sequel adds co-op for up to four players, both on and offline. Basically, it’s perfect for Switch and the ideal game if you want to whittle away some hours with your kids.

If you own the original Dragon Quest Builders on Switch, you can craft the Legendary Builder’s outfit and the Dragonlord’s Throne exclusive in-game items.
