Instead, players will notice enemies on the map.

The title will also contain all new writing along with a "story summary feature" and 3DS StreetPass integration. The latter will allow users to acquire tablets.

Nintendo announced overnight during a press event Dragon Quest 7: Fragments of the Forgotten Past would be released this summer in the west. It also said the RPG would contain "top-notch" localization.

Nintendo confirmed the Square Enix title Dragon Quest 8 would be coming west for 3DS in 2016 during November 2015’s Nintendo Direct.
