DotA gets thicker legs as Valve registers trademark

DotA

The possibility of Valve releasing Defense of the Ancients crossed a little further into fact today thanks to a trademark dug up by super-sleuth Superannuation.

We said it crossed a bit further into fact, now, not "it's a fact Jack". Just the possibility of it is a bit more realistic now.

Okay. Fine. You get it now. We won't go on about it.

Valve's hand in this has been whispered about ever since it hired the Warcraft III mod designer IceFrog back in October 2009.

The plot thickened over the weekend when Mr. Duke Nukem himself tweeted twice he had paid a visit to Valve's secret lair in Washington, where he lent his voice to the game.

Those two tweets have since been removed.

We'll send Valve another mail over it, but don't expect it to be too forthcoming on this.

Maybe more will be revealed at PAX Prime next month. Maybe.

Thanks, D'toid.
