Dota 2 added to MLG's 2014 Pro Circuit, new NA league announced

Major League Gaming has announced "extensive plans" to make Dota 2 part of its 2014 Pro Circuit line-up as well as launching a North American league in support of Valve's MOBA.

The new North American Dota 2 league begins on January 6 with a $210,000 prize pool for the first half of 2014, concluding with the MLG Championship in Anaheim. Teams can earn placement through pre-season matches and the top four teams from the November Championship will be invited to compete.

MLG will begin broadcasting Dota 2 competitions on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays at 6:00PM ET, starting from October 2. In 2014, it will roll out more Dota 2 broadcasting including league competition, Pro Circuit Championship events and more.

Details of dates and prizes of upcoming Dota 2 events are available direct from MLG.
