Disgaea 5 has had an info blowout today.

Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance will introduce a number of new features, including a Curry Shop where players can create character stat boosters, each lasting about one battle - assuming you get the recipe right and don't poison your party.

According to the PlayStation Blog, the Nether Research Squad is another addition, allowing players to send a team to unlock new worlds, find rare items and earn experience. It'll also allow players to create and share new Netherworlds, which is important because if another player visits your Netherworld it will pass on that specific Netherworlds effects to your party. Netherworld effects can be both positive and negative; the provided example lowers fire resistance.

The third new feature revealed today is the Alchemist shop. Here, new items will be created while players are away fighting battles. Players can use Innocents to power up the results of alchemy, and a new Innocent Warehouse and Innocent Farm means you never have to run out of them.

Nippon Ichi has also revealed the RPG'S DLC plan, which starts off with some freebies; for the first month, the Bunny Seraphina character pack and Weapon Starter Set will be available at no charge.

After that, Nippon Ichi will release new premium content every week, including loads of different scenarios with various playable characters, and several new characters. A season pass will be available for those who want it all, and the full schedule is available on the PlayStation Blog if you'd rather pick and choose.

Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance hits PS4 on October 6 in North America and October 9 in Europe. Please enjoy the Seraphina and Killia character trailers below.
