Dirt 5's Career Mode spans five chapters, has over 130 events - releases October 9

Codemasters has released a new video that takes a look at Career Mode in Dirt 5.

This new Dirt 5 video goes over the Career Mode which contains five chapters, over 130 events across nine types of races and Throwdown challenges.

In Career Mode, you start out going up against an established field. The line-up includes Alex ‘AJ’ Janicek (Troy Baker) and Bruno Durand (Nolan North) - who becomes the game's antagonist. The rivalry between AJ and Bruno "creates the opportunity" for you to make your mark and build a legacy.

Career mode is divided into five chapters with multiple paths. The higher the finish, the more Stamps you will earn to unlock the Main Event. You will then need to complete the final challenge ion order to proceed to the next chapter.

You can also expect one-off Throwdown challenges which once unlocked feature the "ultimate one-on-one challenge" against a competitor from the world circuit.

The career is tied together with James Pumphrey and Nolan Sykes from Donut Media, and the story ties together through a Dirt Podcast by Donut Media which features guests such as the current W Series World Champion, Jamie Chadwick, and YouTuber SLAPTrain.

Career also supports couch-play for up to four players and is available for all multi-car challenges with additional drivers replacing Al-controlled vehicles.

The game takes place across the world from the US to China and beyond. It features real-world global brands, in-game rewards based on performance, and reputation rank.

You can pick it up on October 9 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. A date for PS5 and Xbox Series X will be provided at a later date. It’s also coming to Stadia in early 2021.
