DiRT 3 online on PS3 unusable until PS Store returns

DiRT 3's online on PS3 is unusable because of PS Store's current downtime, something which Codemasters says is an "unfortunate" situation.

The reason online is currently unplayable for PS3 is due to the game using an online VIP pass, which has to be redeemed through the PS Store. Once redeemed, users will be able to go online, as well as use the YouTube tools.

"It is a really unfortunate situation but we are positive that everything is being done to rectify the service as soon as possible," Codies comms manager Andy Gray told Videogamer.

The pass is free for anyone who buys first-hand copies of the game, but will set you back 800 MS points or £6.29 when bought from PSN if you get it second-hand.

DiRT 3 launched yesterday worldwide for PS3, 360 and PC.
